WOW. That's from sxc stuff? I never would have guessed that this came from photos. Well done indeed! Very impressive the color usage/execution and the softness of detail that makes it feel more like a Todd McFarlane on glossy work than photo merging.
Many thanks for your very nice comment. I also use Nike Filters in Photoshop to blend (midnight & Monday morning are a couple of favorites of mine) & work well for the type of images I like to do. Original photos from sxc are usually made into two or three layers in PS & then various filters added until I get the background the way I like, then blended together.
